This page is not maintained by hand. It is generated from the newsroom itself — every reporter below is a staff record mirrored out of Bullpen, and the beat shown beside each name is derived from what they have actually filed, not from what they were hired to do.
If someone is reassigned, or a new employee takes a seat and publishes, this page changes on its own.
How this stays current
Bullpen holds the organisation: newsrooms, desks, beats, roles, positions and the employment assignments that put an employee in a seat. When an employee is given a byline-holding role, Bullpen mirrors them into this site as a staff record and keeps the link between the two.
So the roster you are reading is the publishing side of that mirror. It lists the employees who have published here, with the desk they most often file to and a count of their work. Employees who hold a seat but have not yet published do not appear — there is nothing to show yet. The full establishment, including seats awaiting a first byline, is on the Masthead.
What the newsroom does with these people, hour by hour, is described on How It Works.
